Cams to timecode with Sound Devices MixPre II 10 for classical music

Hi there,

which quality video cams can you recommend for classical music videos? FullHD at 60 fps minimal, but 4K would be nicer. Need to keep them (at least 2 pcs) in sync with a Sound Devices MixPre 10 ii. Whole setup should be able to run on bats for 3 hours min. Small form factor would be a huge plus.

thanks for your reply. I would like to map the options and decide the budget then, so don't have any particular one in mind.

Do you need true genlocked sync (using a separate generator to feed the mix pre as well as the cams) or were you expecting to do tc start jam + free run?


If this gets more involved, I could help w suggestions, but probably only in a month, as am at pre-semester crunch time ATM.

I don't have a preferred way to implement the sync. Would be happy about anything practical.
