Hello,
I am trying to find the best software out there that will allow me to do the following:
1. Create a "photo album" of 500-1200 hi-res images incorporating chapters to break the images apart so that each chapter has about 40-50 images or something like that.
2. NO slideshows! I would like the images to be scrollable via the user's remote control. An option for a slideshow would be nice, but the goal is to allow the user to be able to jump between images if they prefer.
3. Output should work on any DVD Player
4. Create custom templates utilizing my company logo or perhaps an introduction when the user inserts the DVD into their player.
These are the major features I am looking for. If anyone has any ideas or recommendations, I would certainly appreciate your response.
By the way, I am trying to create a wedding album viewable on a DVD player. My client (the photography studio) shoots on average 800 images per wedding. Each image is about 17-25MB in size. So the application would need to automatically reduce the image size to fit the DVD standards.
Also, if I wanted to use a DVD as a backup/restore medium for those 17-25MB images, what is a good app to do that?
Thanks in advance,
Eric N...

Try a demo of this and see if it will do what you want:
[ur]http://www.ulead.com/dps/runme.htm[/url]As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
Already tried PictureShow. Only does slideshows. I want the user to be able to jump all around for different images.
Thanks for the advice though. -
The work around for controlling forward/rewind etc is to convert the slide show to mpeg movie, then you can pause/play/ff/rw, you can then add chapter if you want etc
You can convert your photos to slide show using slide show movie maker (SSMM) I dont know how well it would handle such a lare size image. I have done a few slide show movies and they look great with fading effect and background sound. All my photos are less than 700K each. I would assume yours would look excellent with such a hi res images. The unknown is wherether SSMM resizing the images during the process.
My latest movie comprises about 100M of photos and the final mpeg (SVCD) file is about 370M, includes effects and music.
Let me know if you found alternatives. BTW, I use dvd2svcd to convert the AVI file produces by SSMM to SVCD.
