Very strange - played and exported to a dvd my 20 MiniDV tapes on my Canon camcorder. Sounds great on DVD. But when I play the MiniDV tapes in my Canon camcorder a second time - there is no sound on that same tape. Sound still works on any other MiniDV tape (so the camcorder works) - but when I play the tape and burn a dvd, and play again, the sound is gone from the MiniDV tape.
Doesn't matter whether it's Sony or Maxell tapes - once I play and burn it onto my dvd, there is no sound on the tapes after that. Totally silent. Is the camcorder erasing sound, but not video, when I play it?
