  1. I saved a video from my email to my Mac computer on February 2. Now the time stamp on the video is February 2, even though that is not when the video was recorded. Is there a way to tell the actual creation date of the video?

    Thank you!!

  2. If the image hasn't been modified the original data can be read with mediainfo. You can also just use windows explorer to compare date taken, date modified and date created.

  5. So I just followed the same process with a video I know the date and time of. I emailed it to myself, downloaded it, and put it into mediainfo, it gave me an incorrect time stamp.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is what I’m doing considered modifying the video?

You'll need to examine the EXIF data, assuming it hasn't been previously edited.
