Hello,
I recently purchased a used but seemingly good condition combi-vision tv with built in vhs player. It worked just fine for about a day when I have to give the top part of the tv a good old whacking to get the sound to work! Sometimes also, when I put a tape in, it just rejects it! And I have to try over and over again until it magically works
PLEASE HELP!

I used to have one of those years ago! But can't really help with your issue, have you tried to contact any electronics shop to ask for advice?

You have been watching too many comedy shows where the guys would give the top of the tv a good knock to get it working.
Chances are you damaged more than you fixed and something has worked loose. And with these units being quite old the chances of getting it repaired are quite remote with parts being non-existent.
