FYI,
Error is given when I try the 'scan for errors' under various.
The mp4 file does not seek properly.
The error dialog form does not close at all, no cancel button or X. Pressing Y or N does not abort.
Task has to be killed in task manager in windows.
No errors text file is generated. No diagnostic file is generated.

Bug discussed in my previous message: I tried to fix an mp4 file with a seek problem, ended up with a screen saying, there is an error in the file, do you wish to continue.
you can't abort or cancel out of that action, pressing continue will repeat the error message 10,000 times or till you kill the task in windows.

In the meantime, you have several options to solve the problem with this mp4:
- fix framerate (under main page, various)
- simple remux
- normal mux, with fast seek activated.
In all these cases the timestamps will be regenerated and the problem should be solved.

The checks for missing ffmpeg files and for the missing target folder are working well. It's good that you cant't use the app if one of them is missing!

Unused files list at app start and end, is also working.

Attachment recognition with mjpeg as video, the adding and the extraction is working also.

I have deliberately not adopted the source frequency, as I have noticed that many films available on the internet do not have the frequency of 48000Hz recommended for movie audio, but 41100Hz, which is the standard for music CDs.

The current procedure provides the output to the souce folder to be retained until a new source is read in.
I think that's the right way to go.

while, on the same screen, Pixel Format, Auto means [as Source]

There are 3 potential dropdown value selections here:
1- Value read from source or made to match the source file ... [Source]
2- Value forced to match the tool's default setting ... [Default]
3- Value is chosen or entered by the user ... [ex main, high, limited, etc]

Sorry! What I mean is not the settig for the frequency, it's the source value underneath:

The red area always shows the frequency of the first audio stream, even if you change the stream and it has a different frequency.
I think the frequency of the stream in question should be displayed here!

Let all streams checked and click extract.
At the question (for the video stream) to extract to raw or container choose container.
Then go to multiplex and remux the extracted streams (in green, deselect all others).

I tried the "extract to container" method you proposed .. it also didn't work.

I gave up and deleted the file for good, but not before testing it using your latest version [3.4.1.01].
I can confirm that the app is now able to scan the damaged mp4 file successfully [without hanging or freezing] and can produce an
error file .. attached .. if you wish to take a look at the errors.

I also tried repairing a smaller damaged file with a similar problem at onlineconverter.com but
the resulting file was ~3% of the original
