Will increase this value to 100 px.

Error attempting to cut/join more than one parts.
Have you tried to join different cuts from the same source, or do the cuts come from different sources?
The error message suggests the latter.

The cuts come from a single source.
Same problem if you use batch for this.
Only one cut appear in the join list. When you remove that cut from the join list, the next apper with the same message.

And it has problems with files containing more video streams.
Sometimes stream 0 is fine, sometimes stream 1.

More info please, and a mediainfo report of this video too.

frame accurate cut is still in the experimental stage. Please use it only with h264 codec and videos with only one video stream.
I will disable it again in the next release.

Please try cutting out two parts of this short example for joining.

This one is a real problem.
FFmpeg isn't able to do seeking operations (-ss -to) with mpeg1video codec and streamcopy to mpg container.
But I've found a workaround. Make your cuts and click finally To batch. Quit the program.
Edit the BT_open.txt and change the output suffix from .mpg to .mkv for all cuts.
Save the file and restart clever-FFmpeg-GUI. Execute the batches. Then join.

Thank you for the workaround! It's working fine.

Inspired by your workaround, I first multiplexed the source to mp4/mkv, then cutting and merging works also.
A simple remux is not enough.

    I have many videos from my first digital camera, a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W1 3x from 2004 with a 40 m underwater case.

The program "stays on top" as long as you work with it.
If, for example, batches are being processed, there is no reason to stay on top.
When the batches are finished, the program is brought back on top.
The same applies to audio and mainly video encodings, which take longer.
I think this is a good compromise and I will leave it that way.
    However, there is one small problem;
from time to time the icon in the taskbar disappears.
But this is not a problem with my program, but with Windows.

My former test was with the wrong app version. Sorry.

I have done more testing on my 1080 laptop:
Using 16:9 sources with 480, 720 or 1080 "Preview window height" always result in a 430 x 800 rotated preview window.

    Edit: Missing text:
    Using a 1080 x 1920 video with 1080 "Preview window height" gives a 1050 x 630 rotated preview window.
    Using a 1080 x 1920 video with 720 "Preview window height" gives a 690 x 430 rotated preview window.
    Using a 1080 x 1920 video with 480 "Preview window height" gives a 450 x 290 rotated preview window.

    ---

Useing Frame accurate cut with h264 codec and only one video stream:
When openig cut, it defaults to Keyframe cut.
When you click Add cut mark, that button disapear and Cut appear, but To batch is missing.
When you then click Delete last CM, the Add cut mark button appear and cut disappear.
Looks like only one cut is allowed for Frame accurate cut!

If you use Keyframe cut, Add a cut mark, switch to Frame accurate cut, back to Keyframe cut, To batch does not appear.

You get errors when the cut starts at 00000,000.

Will recode the whole preview thing in video encoding.

Correct, with frame acurate cut atm you can make only one cut.

If you use Keyframe cut, Add a cut mark, switch to Frame accurate cut, back to Keyframe cut, To batch does not appear.
    Bug, will be fixed.

You get errors when the cut starts at 00000,000.
Bug with frame accurate cut only, will be fixed.

    The subtitles are correctly extracted.
If you do not like the formatting, remove it in Subtitle edit.
I have no idea how to do it with subtitle edit. I don't suppose you can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

  17. @ ProWo

It may be useful to remove the frame-accurate cut selection if the stream is not h264.

Keyframe cut allows you to define multiple cuts and then switch to Frame accurate cut. This should be blocked atm, as only one cut is allowed.

Would an alternativ cutting by frame number make work easier?

Would it make sense to use an alternative player specialy in Video encoding to be able to preview hdr content and the resulting changes you do?

Is already limited to h264 and hevc SDR.

Is already fixed; if you change the cut type, all cut marks are deleted.

That would make no difference; besides, ffmpeg can only search for time, not frames.

My program should remain a pure frontend for ffmpeg and not require any other programs.
The only limit atm is that HDR to SDR tone mapping cannot be previewed; however, if you use LUTs for this (e.g. PQ_to_BT709_v1.cube), the preview is possible.
But I am working on a solution.

  25. I can confirm that the preview stay within the screen bounds.
Tested with normal SD to 4k videos at Full HD and 4k screen.

But a 720 x 576 VOB, a 640 x 480 MPG and a 1080 x 1920 mobile video, still get scaled over the screen bounds, but only when the screen and the Preview window height are both 1080.

All combinations of 90/270 degrees rotation stay within the screen bounds. Very good.

    Frame accurate cut:
Is limited to h264 and hevc SDR.
Multiple video stream detection is working.
If you change the cut type, all cut marks are deleted.
Bug with missing To batch button is fixed.
Bug is fixed when the cut starts at 0.

Since only one cut is allowed, I can make several individual cuts and join them at the end without problems.

Various -> Rotate is blocked from entering values. Thanks!

Due to many changes to the pages in version 3.4, you might update the three screenshots at https://www.videohelp.com/software/clever-FFmpeg-GUI.
I guess this is one of the first thing new users look at.

  26. from mp4 video 1080 and 1 audio track i need to re-encode in 480 and copy audio. so now need encode video only, extract audio from original video, then mux new video with extracted audio. we have solution to encode video and copy audio to one shot only ? (as ffmpeg from command line do)

and also: from 'Video encoding' section on frame size on DAR ticked i can just edit width. all people talk about 'height' for resolution (1080, 720, 540) why we can edit 'width' ? isn't more convenient can edit 'height' and grey 'width' to keep aspect ratio ?

No, but you don't need to extract the unchanged streams; they are already available in the muxing grid.

This is because the standard widths are familiar to most users (640, 720 for SD, 1280,1920 for HD and 3 840 for UHD), while the corresponding heights vary depending on the DAR.
In addition, many authoring programs require the standard widths.

  30. ... just i dont know why 'height' is grey on DAR ticked. photoshop work the same on resize image, but both 'width' and 'height' are linked and i can change the first or the second value. i hope in next release i can change just 'height' and keep aspect ratio.
