Beta (v3.3.6.03) Feedback
> Tables:
Change all columns to auto-width.
Switch to equal text alignment for headers and columns.
Change De-/Select behavior.
De-/Select behavior works perfekt. Thank you for the clean uniform look.
Only Multiplex Title seams not to be auto-width.
> Multiplex tooltip text changes:
All done
> Rewrite Audio encoding length & pitch into a selectable preset that is adapted to the video source.
Great work! First encoding tests looks good. Easy to understand.
Container selections other than None should have priority when changing the encoder afterwards, which does not happen.
---
> Multiplex grid clean up behavior:
The "Task successfully completed." notification window should appear, if there are unmuxed streams (other the source streams) in the grid.
Not working for Added streams.
Entering Multipex has all streams deselected and not selected any more.
All selected streams get cleared from the table after muxing. Before, all source streams get reloaded like reopening Multiplex.
Bug: After muxing a sample, streams get cleared.
Fixed
I can delay audio streams. But I can not enter values for a video delay. Is that a bug?
EDIT: Negative delay values get processed as well! All good.
---
> Crop amount must be a multiple of 2
Can you please apply your fix also for left/right.
---
Cut to Batch opens the Join grid and not the Main page like other tasks.
---
Files with attachments:
Attached fonts get overwritten when extracting them. But this might be okay.
The following message appears twice in the Multiplex grid:
[Attachment 84543 - Click to enlarge]
---
Deleted files detection:
If you load the source file and then delete it, you are still able to proceed whitch will cause warnings and errors (cut).
I am not sure if it make sense to monitor the required files as this might not happen often.
Not fully text aligned warning from the Multiplex grid:
[Attachment 84544 - Click to enlarge]
This can also lead to GUI irritations like this:
[Attachment 84545 - Click to enlarge]
---
Join table/grid:
Now, I can change the index numbers. Thanks.
After joining, the remaining streams keep their index numbers (as long as join stays open). Adding files will create duplicate index numbers.
If you open join without cutted parts, the button swap files and Clear cuts are visible but disappear after click De-/Selecht chunks. Swap files appear after the second added file. But that's not important.
---
Add chapters:
I can create and load external chapters. But then, I would expect a button to transfer them to the multiplex grid or to mux them directly into the metadata.
Or how is the procedure?
Existing Chapters.txt will be overwritten.
---
Target:
I think it would be good to show the target folder path next to the target button like before.
This gives you a direct look at this as you might not expect this in the settings.Last edited by Findu; 3rd Jan 2025 at 05:24.

The setting to none is intended and remains.
The "Task successfully completed." notification window should appear, if there are unmuxed streams (other the source streams) in the grid.

@neptune84
The opus audiostream title “MVO | R5” is written in the wrong tag: instead of title it is in handler_name.
AudioHandler should actually be written here.
Which program wrote this tag? -

Beta (v3.3.6.03) Feedback 2
Audio encoding grid:
>> Container selections other than None should have priority when changing the encoder afterwards, which does not happen.
> The setting to none is intended and remains.
Sorry, I described it badly!
Example:
When the enoder is set to aac mf and the container is set to None, we get Output.aac
Wenn I change the container to m4a, we get Output.m4a
Now change encoder to ac3, we get Output.ac3
The container still shows m4a. So I expect we remain on Output.m4a
So the container setting should always override the encoder file extension when it is supported.
Otherwise each encoder change should set the container back to None.
NEW: Encoder pcm is showing output.wav.wav, but the file is correct.

>> Crop amount must be a multiple of 2
Can you please apply your fix also for left/right.
> There is no reason for this, it will stay that way.
Only even numbers are allowed here as well. Otherwise, error messages will appear!
---
>> Cut to Batch opens the Join grid and not the Main page like other tasks.
> Cut to batch opens the main page, batch cuts executed opens the join grid.
Strange. I can not replicate it any longer.
---
Add chapters: Thanks for the instructions. It works well.

NEW: Crop detection:
Capital letter and space are missing:

[QUOTE=neptune84;2762631] Must see if ffmpeg has access to this handler_name tag...
EDIT:
ffmpeg can access this tag.
So I could adjust the program to show these wrong titles, but I'm not going to do that.
The correct way is to delete these titles and rewrite them to the correct tag if desired.
Let me know if you want a command line to delete the wrong tags.Last edited by ProWo; 4th Jan 2025 at 11:44.

nice news v3.3.6, for clever update, and some skin improvement
another good idea could be a window that shows the output code used by ffmpeg in the editing conversion or an output log.
always i like to know the command that ffmpeg will use for the conversion or something else
another question:
how change bitrate on conversion? i can't see option for that
[Attachment 84605 - Click to enlarge] -
If you want to see (and change) the command line, click on to batch instead of encode. Then exit the program.
In the target folder you will then find a file BT_open.txt.
Open it with a text editor; here you can see what you are looking for.
If you know what you are doing, you can make changes and save them.
The next time you start the program, this file will be read and you will be taken directly to the batch grid.
Click execute and the task will be executed.
how change bitrate on conversion? i can't see option for that
This is the method recommended by FFmpeg.
The lower the value, the higher the bit rate.
When you start encoding, you can see the bitrate in the FFmpeg output line. -
Will be fixed.

Hi, prawo, you have given a normalization solution long back. which is given under
Load your mp4 into my clever FFmpeg-GUI, click on Main, click on (Modify) Audio Stream, click on continue, set mp3 as output, check DynAudNorm, click on convert.
Then click on Multiplex, set the new created Audio.mp3 as audio source, set the target file name, set audio language, set mp4 container, click on Multiplex, Done.
(Read the HowTo.txt first).
But i think the menus have changed and i cannot get continue, dyn... etc as per ,output, etc as per the above. how to access those menu. please see
Moreover, you have given an idea of knowing the level of audio increase one can attempt to increase to the maximum volume. Please also say, how to do it in your softwara. i can see the volume information by running the execution of the concerned tab, but i do not know, how to see, the maximum i could attempt without distortion in sound. I once read in your reply, but could not locate it. please also sayLast edited by jraju; 4th Jan 2025 at 07:43.

1. Load your video and click main page
2. Click encode audiostream
3. Select the audiostream you want convert (if more than one) and click encoder.
4. Click Audiofilter, check DynAudNorm, click OK.
5. Make all other settings you like and click encode.
6. If finished, click multiplex. The new create audiostream is shown in green. Deselect the old related audiostream.
7. Set the container and click multiplex. Done.
Moreover, you have given an idea of knowing the level of audio increase one can attempt to increase to the maximum volume.
2. Click encode audiostream
3. Select the audiostream you want convert (if more than one).
4. Click volume detection and wait until it's finished. A messagebox will show you the maximum possible gain.
5. Click OK, you'll go automatically to the audio encoding grid. The gain found is displayed and automatically applied. -

prowo thank you for your replies. My request is , now your default program on opening shows green menus with dark theme. very good. when you click for eg audio stream after selecting source, the first encode menu is selected by default and selected. I thought, that selection of this menu would immediately encode the audio and hesitate to go to the main menu and look for any other menu for initial settings before encoding. Moreover, my cursor does not show hands symbol , just arrow symbol as if it cannot be clicked. Please have those menus show as clickable arrow signs. As some of the menus , need some intermediar actions like selecting sub menus , (to access hidden menu for those purposes, ) even showing final menus name, as such in initial stages, may cause confuse to think that it will immediately encode .But a valuable program like yours , to quicken so many processes , would like to use your clever ffmpeg to ahieve it quickly. For eg. your clueof audio gain, in times of audio playing with less sound, but could gain situations . Thank you very much for your prompt replies.Like this:
i do not know much programming
Encode ⚙️ ️ , show the button as clickable, but involves, configuring, previewing and executing steps eye icon, rocket icon. .Kudos to you. I have pasted three icons, and only one icon is shown in reply, the other two are not shown.

Hi, your quote:
you'll go automatically to the audio encoding grid. The gain found is displayed and automatically applied.
Do you mean to say, that i need not change any applied value in the grid shown? I have read some where , that the broadcast Luf is -23lufs and if my audio is less than that I could increase on those. But if it is automatically applied, then there is no need to change in any boxin the grid shown on selecting the dynaudnorm . Thanks. But let me know, if the gain is shown say 1.0 db, will there be noticeable increase in sound
I do not know, how to attach my file as a attachment instead of thumbnail prowoLast edited by jraju; 4th Jan 2025 at 20:38.

I don't understand what you mean. Please use deepl.com for your translation.
Do you mean to say, that i need not change any applied value in the grid shown?
I have read some where , that the broadcast Luf is -23lufs and if my audio is less than that I could increase on those
But if it is automatically applied, then there is no need to change in any boxin the grid shown on selecting the dynaudnorm.
However, this only means that the audio stream is normalized to 0db, but not that the result is satisfactory.
If the source audio is good, the normalization is sufficient.
However, if the source audio has been poorly and incorrectly encoded, the dynaudnorm filter will produce a better result.
You can also try the other filters and compare the results.
But let me know, if the gain is shown say 1.0 db, will there be noticeable increase in sound -
Hi, prowo, thanks for reply. the first thing is , if you select audio stream, it opens encode menu. But that menu is highlighted as the first choice, but i do not know, it has intermediary actions like, configuring, previewing and then launching actions and it just show as any menu on opening. You could have seen my picture depicting, encode, gear icon, elye icon, and rocket icon, denoting , if you click the menu, you need to configure, check, preview and then execute or launch. This is my suggestion to include in your said tabs, will convey visually what the tab does if it is clicked. thanks prowo

@jraju
Thanks for the suggestion, but there are already tips for each button that are displayed when you hoover over the button.
That should be sufficient. -

Beta (v3.3.6.04) Feedback
Thank you for resolving all discrepancies!
Nice new De-/Select button :-;
--- NEW things noticed!
Strange bug with mkv containing fonts:
Mux a font into a simple video.
Load it as the new source.
Now extract all streams and open Multiplex. The extracted audio and video streams apper twice in the multiplex table.
If you extract the streams individually or just two, everything is fine.
---
When you drop files on the desktop icon, a new instance opens, but the “Select source file” page does not load/display the file(s).
Is this intentional?
---
Using multiple instances of the application can lead to problems, as BT_open.txt or SWF_open.txt, for example, are overwritten.
Wouldn't it make sense to add new content to existing files?
---
Settings:
How about entries that change the path for your editor and virtualdub?
---
Chapters:
Is there a reason why chapters are not listed on the Source file info page - like attachments?
Could you please preselect the chapters at the Extract streams page like all others?
The preview fuctionality for the Chapers page is missing. Like for Cut, navigateing to the propper position at the video and note the timestamp for your new chapter.
---
Preview for Cut:
Why does the focus remains on the preview window of ffplay all the time? I cannot use task switch either. -

Thank you for 3.3.6.04

It is now displayed correctly. But when I try to delete or edit it, it does not affect the result.Last edited by neptune84; 5th Jan 2025 at 09:31.

One more thing, the "All" and "None" option does not affect D (Default tab). This is a good thing. Set tab is activated simultaneously with the D tab. I think the D tab should be activated manually depending on the user. Otherwise all apple devices don't see the default tracks and play them at the same time (playing 2 sounds in 2 different languages in a movie at the same time).
-
Please put the Source and Target FPS options back under audio encoding, at least under custom. This is a feature I use all the time to finagle my simpler audio files. Helps me to not use Audacity to to fix the simpler issues and syncs.
[Attachment 84649 - Click to enlarge]
The Presets are ok but it is restricting the freedom, it is now much more difficult to do custom manipulation by only allowing the Factor. It was so easy and convenient being able to alter the Source or Target FPS to achieve the new duration time I desired. I don't want use a calculator to work out the needed factor please.
I had to roll back from v3.3.6.04 to 3.3.5
Thanks -
issue on swap files. on click nothing appears
