    Hi Lexi,
Just tried this with some mp4, but it works as expected.
    Can you try another mp4?
Do you have write access to the destination folder?

Maybe download not completed. A simple remux before cut could help.

i downloaded the big file again but with a differend browser (vivaldi). cutting gives a 0 byte file. simple muxing also produce a 0 byte file.

    edit:

i can extract the streams and multiplex it. file is good. but i get even a 0 byte file when i cut this file.

Found the issue. There is a hidden data stream in the video. Will fix the problem in the next release.
In the meantime you can remux the video (normal multiplex, not simple remux) and cut the remuxed one.
    Should work.

this sounds great! what kind of data are in the hidden stream?

normal multiplex give a good file but cutting it lead again to the 0 bytes file.

    Beta (v3.3.5.04) feedback.

    Working for .h264 streams. Thanks.

This is working as expected. Thanks.

    @ Lexi

    Checking https://pdodswr-a.akamaihd.net/swrfernsehen/marktcheck/sendungsmitschnitt/2159243.ml.mp4
I have the same problem and similar ones in the past.

    Workaround:
Broadcast Systems often use Transport Streams .ts even for downloading.
Simply change the file extension from .mp4 back to .ts and the app will handle your tasks.
Also most TVs will play files when you simply change file extension from original .ts to .mp4

can anybody explaine the differend file size (11mb) between the renamed and cutted ts and the cutted mp4? both files where cutted at 10:33:480

  17. I gues the smaller .mp4 cut does not contain the hidden data stream any longer.

Could you please use multiple lines to make even longer path lengths fully visible in the new settings window.

    ---

Could you also prevent overwriting the output in extract streams like you do for multiplex/cut and encoding.

For what? This only leads to unnecessary duplicate files.

Weeks ago I had a mp4 and a mkv with the same name. The streams get overwritten. So I renamed them after extracting to be able to compare the file size of several streams.

At the end I could also rename one surce file first or use other tools to read out the "stream size".

Sometimes I decide by stream size which audio streams to keep.

You are right that extracted streams are normaly temporary files!

  22. There's something I've always found confusing. In the audio options, if I want to convert an audio track to a different length/framerate (such as lengthening a 25.00 fps audio track to 23.976 fps) without the pitch changing, do I select "length only" or length & pitch"?

That is to say, does "length & pitch" alter the pitch in order to stay the same as it was in the original length despite the new longer or shorter length, or does it alter the pitch to be higher or lower than the original, in keeping with the new length?

The description itself says it: Length only changes the length and leaves the pitch unchanged.

In this case there would be no pitch change, but as the description says, length and pitch are changed.

That's exactly how it is. Everything as described, no confusion.

I will implement it, as it normally makes no difference.

Cut handling and join list - what I noticed:

If I produce several cuts, they get transfered to the join list. Which is good, as I am now able to change the selection/order before joining.

    ---

By default, the join list is showing only the current source file.
After click on cut at the main page, the join list get reset and instead of the source file, only the following cuts get transfered to the join list.
Would it make sense to keep all cuts since app start in the join list and preselect the last cuts?
It would make it easier joining cuts from multible sources.

    ---

I can add multible file selections via drag and drop to the join list. Good!
As discribed, the "Add file" button can only add single files. Can this be changed to multible files "Add files" too?
    It's the same with multiplex.

    ---

    Bug in cutted parts overwriting.
If I cut several parts and repeat it with the same source, the previous files get overwritten. For example you cut #1 #2 #3, then #4 #5, #1 will be overwritten with #4 and #2 with #5.
If I cut only one in between multible, none will be overwritten. For example you cut #1 #2 #3, then #4, then #5 #6, all is fine.

  28. Hello, I have a few ideas to find out what you think.

    1. Can the application name and window be simplified? Remove the part that says GUI. The application name can be just “clever FFMpeg” (I think it would be more universal.) (when you click on info, a window opens and shows the application version and developer as in the image)

    2. Fast Start can remain on by default when muxing mp4 files (even the box can be removed and every file is written as fast start by default)

    3. There may be a bug: When muxing mp4 file, the Title part looks empty, but the title of the track of the source file is written to the destination file.

I just gave it a try: It doesn't like that I simply put the three EXEs at the root of C (not in c:\bin, just c:\)
