  4. I have fixed the problem.

It was that ffmpeg recognizes mjpeg as video stream and coverart equally and that the two types must be handled differently.
Download the latest beta (v3.2.4.04) here:
    https://files.videohelp.com/u/292773/clever_ffmpeg_gui_newest_beta.zip
try it out and then report back here.

  9. I could add an automatic save set to remember the last used audio- and videocodec and mux container.

HDR10 and HLG full support (HDR10 to HDR10 and HLG to HLG recode), HDR10+ and Dolby Vision only for conversions to SDR (this is a ffmpeg limitation atm, only static HDR metadata, not dynamic HDR metadata).

  22. Hi ProWo,
I may have missed something, I just don't know why the extracted audio stream is packaged in a different container than the original one. I'm trying to extract the opus and instead I get an oga. Why is this?
    Quote Quote
  23. Rename the extension to opus, if you need opus.
oga is the default extension for opus audio.

  24. Hi ProWo,

Thank you for this latest version 3.25.

I am facing some issue while multiplexing subtitles.
When you select subtitles to be Forced, they will be always default after muxing, even if you uncheck the default checkbox.
It is an issue when you have multiple forced subtitles (SRT and PGS) because the latest one in the list will become default.
    Quote Quote
  25. It can exist only one forced subtitle in a movie.

just as a curiosity, can you check your 7.1 to 5.1 downmix formula? i know those can get complicated to get them right (i remember user tebasuna51 at doom9 forums had some great inputs regarding them) but i did few quick tests and it feels like the downmix conversion cuts too much from the LFE track so the overall bass becomes audibly less impactful. might be my material or the current ffmpeg implementation but perhaps few tweaks could be possible.

ATM there is no downmix formula for 7.1 to 5.1, just the -ac 6 switch (ffmpeg's downmix), but you can enter your own downmix formula using the remap function, entering c (custom) in the target channel.

  29. ProWo, several questions...

When exporting from encoder to wav, using and without the batch feature, at the end we obtain 2 txt files 'PE_something and BE_something' other than the result wav.
Also i wanted to batch that operation with 2 audio input files, and the batch grid feature showed + mouse icon but it didn't allow me to add more input audio for the operation, only one.

Also other bug i have seen is when having export container for m4a, and having pcm as format to encode, obviously the program warned about, but the buttons were all hidding and there is no way to proceed from that point, other than to close the program and start again.

By the way i have seen that we can encode input audio to AAC-LC but, i haven't seen any way to encode the wanted HE-AAC VBR. Is there a way to actually perform it ? If negative, is FFmpeg capable to do it ? surely you know about...

A possible interesting feature request will be that one to have a 100% custom part of the encoder audio part of the program were we can define an external encoder with required cmd, same as megui. For example the wanted 'qaac' encoder, and by the way having a way to use external encoders with your gui amazing features to encode from it.

If you do a direct (no batch) encoding and you close clever FFmpeg-GUI after this encoding, then a PE_files.txt (processed elements) is created. This lists all the directly encoded files in the last session so that these files are available in the mux grid the next time the program is started (if they have not been deleted in the meantime).
In the same way, a BE_processed.txt is created which contains the files created in a batch.
Both files are only written if unused newly coded files are available after the program is closed.

This is correct, as this hidden function is currently only implemented for video files. I will see how you can also use multiple audio files.

Explain the error in more detail.

Read the reasons for this here:

I will probably not implement something like that, because I understand clever FFmpeg-GUI as a strict frontend for ffmpeg and therefore only want to use ffmpeg features.
