@ProWo
I don't know why the Locate button for the ffmpeg folder was disabled in the settings, because it was very useful.
How about adding at least a Reset button?
Clicking it would clear only the current ffmpeg path from the configuration file and restart the app, automatically prompting you to select the new ffmpeg path.

3.5.1.01 feedback
Thank you for the last changes.
I found the following:
- When you load a raw stream, the new fps detection show 90 fps for an original 25 fps file. 3.5.1 detected 180 fps.
An othe source with 23,976 fps is now detected with 29,97 fps and with 59,94 in 3.5.1.
24, 30 and 60 fps sources get detected correctly so far.
- You also see a debug/cmd window when you click Yes for a corrected copy of the raw file. portable.config is still set to <cmd_l>0</cmd_l>

What's Mediainfo's framerate from this two streams?
Could you post this two raw streams here or elsewhere to test?
Oh, I forgot this test-message. Will remove it.- You also see a debug/cmd window when you click Yes for a corrected copy of the raw file. portable.config is still set to <cmd_l>0</cmd_l> -
Thx

Okay.
I checked other files and most of the raw streams does not have a fps entry.
3.5.1.01 always detect 90 fps in that case. But the source is 23,976, 24 or 25 fps.

Sorry, I found the problem with the short sample (test2 ori 25 fps detect 90 fps.h264).
As the raw files have more than 500 MB, I cut one and used the cut to extract the short raw stream.
And that produce the high value for, Frame rate : 120 000.000 FPS -

3.5.1.02 feedback
When a raw stream does not have a fps entry, "Not found fps" is displayed, but when you mux it, 90 fps is still used, which causes playback issues.
Would it make sense to add the fps value of the video stream to the name of the extracted raw stream?
So if you have trouble detecting the fps of the raw file (variable), you could use this value.
That would be better than 90 fps. -
Strange!
When I extract the video stream of that file:

Muxing a video without a frame rate can only cause problems.
With such an uncorrected raw video, I will disable all actions except recoding.
Seems to be a good idea.Would it make sense to add the fps value of the video stream to the name of the extracted raw stream?
So if you have trouble detecting the fps of the raw file (variable), you could use this value. -
3.5.1 keeps starting in the center of the screen. won't remember position.
I killed my 3.5 year old laptop and had to buy another one. Got an open box for a decent price with the AMD Ryzen 7 AI 350 CPU. This thing is crazy fast compared to my last laptop. It does 480p at 2,000fps and 1080p at 390fps. Software encoding speed, however, is the same, as slow as my old laptop.
Anyway, thanks for reading. -
Clever could not find caption for a .ts file that has caption
[Attachment 91090 - Click to enlarge]
.TS video plays with caption
[Attachment 91091 - Click to enlarge]
Handbrake found the caption and encode. Here is the mkv file encoded from the above .ts file
[Attachment 91092 - Click to enlarge]
I tried ffmpeg directly and got the same result: no caption.
ffmpeg -f lavfi -i "movie=x.ts[out+subcc]" -map 0
:0 -c
text "x.srt"
So this is no fault of ProWo. It's just a flaw of ffmpeg. How does Handbrake do it?
Even when ffmpeg extracts a cc file, the result is often inconsistent. That's why I have to use ccextractor for the best result. -
Have you tried all three options (Index, -1 / 0 / 1)?

Can someone help me, please?
I need to mux 1 subtitle to 1 video in a folder with files with the extensions .mp4 and .mkv. The little script below works, but it also wants to mux the subtitle file to itself.
1. It correctly muxes the first video file to the first subtitle.
2. Now it wants to mux the subtitle file to itself. It asks, the file already exists, do you want to write over it?
If I click no, it skips this step. If I click yes, it will replace the newly muxed file with this new file which gibberish.
The script should mux all files without asking anything.
The script:
FOR %F IN (*.*) DO ffmpeg -i "%F" -i "%~nF.srt" -map 0 -map 1 -c:v copy -c:a copy -c
:0 srt -metadata
:0 language=eng -disposition
:0 default -max_interleave_delta 0 "%~nF_a.mkv"
Files to mux

ffmpeg wants to mux the subtitle file to itself
[Attachment 91127 - Click to enlarge]
I think my script is needs work. Please help. Thank you. -
I found the answer. Instead of (*.*), I need to use (*.mkv *.mp4).
But it still kills me that I don't know why (*.*) does not work correctly.Last edited by davidt1; 6th Feb 2026 at 16:22.
