No.
One I was describing was done a decade earlier, was totally analog, was not "auto-detected", and wasn't a watermark in the true sense of the word as it was obvious and viewable by anyone who had a good enough scope, and thus could have been defeatable. Truly quick & dirty, but simple, signature code injection.
That's a Euro patent btw, I was/am in US.
