  1. I have a problem. I have a DVD rip of a movie and whenever I try to convert it with TMPGEnc to an MPEG-1 for VCD use, it always stops responding and takes forever to convert (it will convert 1.8 minutes of video for every HOUR in real time sometimes). I wanna know if there is a way to just convert half of a video file to an MPEG-1. E-mail me at PS2guy525@yahoo.com if you have any answers to my problem. I also want to know it movies converted with TMPGEnc and burned with Nero work well on a Napa-DAV 311? Thanks for your time.

under settings, advanced, you should find a "source range" option.
you can select how much and which part of the movie to convert
