  1. I have a SVCD i am trying to copy, if i do a direct cd to cd copy, it comes out not playable in my dvd player...so, i am trying to just take the mpg file and put it on my harddrive....then i want to re-encode and bring it down to mpg in regular vcd format....

The problem i'm having is that when i try to put the mpg from the svcd on my haddrive, it tells me that i don't have access to the file and to see the administrator of the file...i have tried tmpgenc and vcdgear...and regular old drag and drop in windows surely doesn't work, it's just freezes...

Someone told me it could be that the svcd is protected....how do i unlock it or is this even the problem, please help, thanx...

  2. Try downloading isobuster this will extract the MPG file to the drive.. The harder part comes when U need to convert it to an mpeg1 file as u need to use dvd2avi to seperate the audio from the video thus enabling tmpeg to re-encode it to an vcd compliant mpeg. I hope this was of use.
