I use directshow to get an image. When taking images at 1080p, the image rate drops to 6 fps. How can I fix?

Wild guess - you are using USB 2.0 when you should be using USB 3.0. The difference in speeds exactly amounts to what one would expect in the drop to 6fps at 1080 rez. Likely your webcam cannot do a compressed stream option (e.g. MJPEC, MPEG2, AVC, etc) but just YUV uncompressed.
