What are exact disadvantages of converting 24p AVCHD-DVD video to 25p Video-DVD video?

Will there be any disadvantages in audio of converted video?

Video:
Generally AVCHD is AVC/mpeg4/H.264. DVD is mpeg2, so converting it for DVD compliance will require re-encoding with an mpeg2 encoder requiring a significantly higher bitrate for more or less preserving the AVCHD's quality.

Audio:
It depends how you do the conversion. Typically 24fps film is speeded up to 25fps (+4%) for PAL DVD compliance. Look for AssumeFPS() in avisynth. You would need to adjust the audio as well in order to keep audio and video in sync. You can do this with or without audio pitch correction.

You could also convert the framerate by duplicating or 'pulldown' certain frames or fields, or convert by blending. Look for ChangeFPS() or ConvertFPS() in Avisynth for example, or search for "Euro Pulldown", or use DGPulldown for soft-telecining. All these would preserve the duration of the video and hence no audio correction is needed, however you might dislike the video judder or blend artifacts.

I recommend to study the avisynth documentation. It explains it all much better and in more detail with examples.
Or google for AVCHD and DVD to learn about the format differences. Another buzzword is 'telecine' to address the subject.
