  1. Hi

I have a lot of European movies I need to censor. All these movies have hard codded (burnt-in) subs. I can censor the audio no problem but does anyone know of a software that can auto blur profanities in HC subs? Stand alone software or AVID plug in. At the moment I am blurring the curse words one by one and it is very time consuming.

    Thanks

  2. Sounds like a tough job. Hope your morals aren't being compromised by your prolonged exposure to all that filth.

  4. I have learned how to say swear words in a number of different languages since I started this so I guess that's a plus point.

I didn't think it was too ridiculous an ask as I know there is software out there that can blur faces with facial recognition. I just want to blur text which is surely easier to recognise than faces.

Also there is similar software out there like this

  5. That tool you linked to works on soft subs, so it is simply (and cleverly) a real-time search and replace on what is essentially a text file. Your situation is very different.

The problem is this falls into the "I want what no one else does." category. Could it be done? Possibly. But, too much effort for a very, very niche product.

Knew it was unlikely but just thought I'd ask
