Having ripped a dual layer dvd how do I fit on to 4.7 disk

One approach is to strip off all extras, including bonus material, extra audio tracks and subtitles, then re-author the remaining content.
Another approach is to re-encode the video to a lower bitrate.
Yet another approach is to use IFOEdit, but I don't have any details on this option. -

They tell you how to just to keep the main movie etc etc
