  1. Anyone ever burned old (10-15 year old) packs of MCC AZO single layer DVD-Rs successfully? Did the unburned DVD-Rs still work just as well when they were that old but were stored properly?

    Yes, burned fine.
    I still have PVC media from 2003 that burns fine.

    Did you keep them in a Ziplock bag, with silica gel, in a cardboard box, inside another cardboard box, in a closet, on the shelf? Was the bag clear or dark, was the box black or white, where they on the top or bottom shelf, what kind of door did the closet have, did you use muratic acid is the bathroom, was there any fungus? Inquiring minds, powatrin, gamemanico, gamemanico 2, mediafiles87, samus87, rock n roll racing and others want to know???

    C'mon, you knew this was coming!

    Of course! Preferably with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
    That way, when the bread molds, you know the disc is also moldy, and can throw the whole package in the trash.

    @anybody thinking "WTF?", semi-inside joke.

    Continue (occasionally) to use up my existing stock of TY (TYGO-2 for the Pio DVDRs, TYGO-3 in the computer).
    Not really certain how old it is, but it is old. Good storage conditions, for the most part. (No sealed baggies.)
    Not much evident in the way of failures.
    When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.
