    Generaly I use Audacity for making delays (effect >delay) but I'd like to do itz with Audition pls.

    Btw, I always use only one window. What's the utility of more smallers windows?

  3. The multi track editor allows you to manipulate and edit several tracks in relation to each other such as voice, music and effects. That may not be something you need to do. However, you need to be in multi track mode in order to slide the track around and set your offset. Adobe is pretty flexible about letting you resize your windows as you prefer.

    In fact I'd like to add an existing acapella coming from another track, but not from an outside source. I have two .flac files: an instrumental track and an acapella track. I 'd like to merge them to make a remix.

    Just create a new empty multi track project.
    Then import the two recordings you have into two different tracks.
    Adjust placement, sync, volume, etc as appropriate.

    ...

    Multitrack is how all modern music is mixed and produced (e.g. Delete tracks for vocals, backing, drums, guitars, etc etc).
