Well, what did you do expect? It is a good software that does exactly what you ask for. Why not pay for it if you like it. I showed you that I was able to play the downloaded video in VLC. Here is a video: https://streamable.com/e3d0u

Obviously you don't necessarily need to use that software. It does not do anything special. It just saves you a few clicks and downloads the video immediately. It is no magic.

Somebody who is very experienced probably could use free software to download the video. Maybe they will post how to do it. Otherwise, I use Tubedigger ($15).

Tudigger it doesn't always work, on any video... maybe yes in this specific case....
but I doubt there are other easy ways to download a DRM protected video.
let's see if someone good guys writes us a tip here!

The boomstream player doesn't really use drm. The player code just fiddles with the "EXT-X-MEDIA-READY" value for the hls key and iv. See here.
