Portable DLer for CBS?

Hope someone has suggestions for a portable one that will!

1st used default file got Error

2nd changed to MP4 file still Error

Hope you can tell me what I am doing wrong!

I can't watch the episodes in Firefox (too much ad/security/tracking blocking?) but I can still download the videos with youtube-dl. Right click on any of the episode thumb nails and select Copy Link Location (Copy Shortcut in IE, etc.). Then use that link with youtube-dl:

Am still a beginner with all this. Reason I like 4KDLer is it is easy and gives a range of resolution options.

Interesting to learn what browsers work.

Can anyone explain why youtube-dl works and youtube-dl-gui-0.4-win-portable (from https://mrs0m30n3.github.io/youtube-dl-gui/#downloads) does Not? Do not know if am doing something wrong or it is the app?

youtube-dl-gui it is just an interface of youtube-dl. if youtube-dl is not present on same directory, youtube-dl-gui it's empty and it doesn't work!
maybe it works for us because we have the latest rel of youtube-dl....
check and download latest version on https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/download.html
and also youtube-dl-gui required ffmpeg (but not necessary for this download). check on https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/

Also downloaded youtube-dl-gui 2.12 177KB Win Portable from https://www.videohelp.com/software/youtube-dl-gui

Question: Is there a Tutorial for where to place all the files?

Some how I am not doing something right?

Tried again and clicked No (instead of Yes), youtube-dl-gui started and the screen flashed by quickly (too fast for me to get with my Screen Capture) and then nothing.

Does Anyone have a Windows 7 64 bit Portable youtube-dl-gui that has everything and works with CBS? If yes please tell where I can download.

very strange. me also have win7 x64, try with youtube-dl-gui, yt-dl and ffmpeg on same directory and all work correctly.....
.net framework 4.7 installed...

We will be going to Win 10 soon so will retry then.
