  1. Recently was recommended to "DeepFovea: Using deep learning for foveated reconstruction in AR/VR" https://ai.facebook.com/blog/deepfovea-using-deep-learning-for-foveated-reconstruction-in-ar-vr and dl paper PDF.

Tried to dl video from reddit. Can watch and was impressed. https://www.reddit.com/link/e41xfc/video/azz3o8pd5v141/playerutm_source=reddit&utm_med...tent=t3_e41xfc with 4K DL Portable but did not work (1 attach).

Did make screen copies and was impressed with DeepFovea video (2 & 3 Attach).

Video does not seem to be complete. It seems that it should be longer than 1:58. Maybe that is why it was deleted?

  4. lomero My fault did not check the link before posting. Got same results.

Best is to start from "DeepFovea: Using deep learning for foveated reconstruction in AR/VR" link which works.

There is more info at https://github.com/facebookresearch/DeepFovea which mentions "This repository provides the materials related to the DeepFovea project from Facebook Reality Labs. DeepFovea is a network for a foveated rendering that allows to reconstruct a plausible perifery with a small amount of pixels. If you use any materials from this repository, please cite the publication: Anton Kaplanyan, Anton Sochenov, Thomas Leimkuehler, Mikhail Okunev, Todd Goodall, Gizem Rufo, "DeepFovea: Neural Reconstruction for Foveated Rendering and Video Compression using Learned Statistics of Natural Videos", SIGGRAPH Asia 2019.
At the moment we are releasing only the full graph structure without the weights. We are planning to release the demo binaries and the final weights soon.

The PDF of Full Paper "DeepFovea: Neural Reconstruction for Foveated Rendering and Video Compression using Learned Statistics of Natural Videos" can be dl from
    https://research.fb.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/DeepFovea-Neural-Reconstruction-for...al-Videos.pdf?

also at https://research.fb.com/publications/deepfovea-neural-reconstruction-for-foveated-rend...atural-videos/ bottom page are links to

Checked and was able to access all this from the 1st link I originally posted.

Since posting found another way to dl this video It is by clicking on the "DeepFovea video" at bottom of page mentioned. The url is
