DVDFab for Linux

I just installed this - when I click on the desktop icon I get Zilch. Anyone know anything about this product. Luckily I did not buy a license yet.

Forgot to mention that I am using Linux Mint 17.3 on a ThinkPad T-61.

are you running dvdfab through WINE or Linux it's self ??
the windows version should run via wine but the Linux version was sadly discontinued.

There was a download for Linux which I installed via command line and ran directly. I already tried using VBox for this, buy it is too slow.

install wine and run the windows version through wine as the windows
version is updated for newer copy protection schemes.
and, you cannot buy a license for the Linux version since it's been discontinued
