I'm capturing 75hz gameplay off an old Windows XP machine with my Avermedia Live Gamer 4K. Unfortunately RECentral 4 can't capture at 75fps for some reason, the closest I can capture at is 100fps.

I need to decimate that video to 75fps, any way to do that with FFMpeg or Avisynth?

  2. TDecimate(Mode=0,Cycle=4,CycleR=1)

But that only works if every fourth frame is a duplicate. Is that what you have?

Not all the time, some games do occasionally drop below 75fps.

  4. I don't understand the reply. Does the gameplay remain smooth-playing? You can also achieve 75fps another way:

    TDecimate(Mode=2,Rate=75)

But that's risky. And you might want to tweak the MaxNDL and M2PA settings. Read the doc for more information.

    Decimate blindly, sure, no problem.

Decimate with quality -- depends on the source, when you're trying to accomplish.

  6. How about using sRestore, it seems like potentially better than a simple blind decimate.

Perhaps a 15 second sample would be useful ...

If 75 was captured at 100 by duplication (regular, consistent), it MIGHT be possible to undo the duplication and restore the 75. But that is highly unlikely to how it would normally occur - there would be duplication and skipping, or there might be frame blending/interpolation. Either of those methods would cause just as many problems as cure, if not more, when trying to undo/reverse them.
