I suppose the answer is yes, but.... as the file format of tv recorded programmes cannot even be seen ( let alone read ) through external cables ie. a sata, as they need converting, will they also be invisible if the recorder is connected to my wifi network ? I've connected the machine to my router via ethernet, but the only things that are visible are my external computer drives, a streaming box and my neighbours tablet. My machine has software issues so I can't copy the files to a usb drive ( obviously the machine converts the format to one that's readable externally ), and I can't downgrade/upgrade/re-install the software without first formatting the drive ( another bug, perhaps the same one ). I can watch the programmes on tv, but it would work better for me if I could watch them via wifi. The manufacturer went bust years ago.
