I've demuxed a 5.1 PCM WAV from a Blu-ray. I want to split each channel out into its own WAV file, and keep track of which WAV goes with which channel.

What's the best way to do this?

  2. eac3 will automatically label them in the file name when it splits to mono wavs

    eg.
    Code:
    eac3to input.wav output.wavs
    will give
    output.C.wav
    output.L.wav
    output.LFE.wav
    output.R.wav
    output.SL.wav
    output.SR.wav

  3. You should be able to load/import it into Audacity. It should be imported in standard wave file channel order, being
Front Left, Front Right, Front Centre, LFE, Surround Left, Surround Right.

From there you can delete any channel, or export them individually, or split the stereo channels to mono etc. It should look something like this initially.
