  1. Hello everyone.

First time poster, so I apologize in advance for any errors or mistakes.

I recorded a powerpoint presentation for a webinar and exported it to an mp4 file through PowerPoint (Codec: H.264, AAC). On QuickTime Player (MAC OSX) and another media player, Elmedia, the video works properly with no errors in audio or video.

I attempted to upload the .mp4 file to YouTube and Vimeo and both have issues with audio. Oddly, YouTube mutes the final slide of the presentation only, while Vimeo mutes the last two slides.

I'm not overly savvy with video, so I was hoping someone could help point me in the right direction of how to solve this problem. I need to upload it so it is available for replay, but without that final slide, it doesn't sound very professional.

    Thank you all in advance.

    Link to online version ?

When it plays there does the sound appear early ? Since youtube and, I guess, Vimeo also, re-encode everything that may explain it.

Also, when you say 'record' is the mp4 created directly from the presentation or is the sound added later and by what program.

  3. The sound all seems to link up, as far as what is there. I did notice a very very slight mismatch on the timing, but nothing that would be noticeable for anyone besides me.

I created the file by recording my narration through Powerpoint, and setting up the timings using that. From there, I exported the powerpoint presentation to an mp4, as in this link.

Well that 'mismatch' is probably some inherent delay.

I do not use PowerPoint but I suggest you edit your topic title to include the word so that people with the knowledge can assist or if this is not possible contact the forum admin to edit it for you.
