  1. Hi,

I've been trying to rip "The fast and the furious" and "the mummy", but everytime, the subtitles are unreadable!
I'm using DVDx with TMPGEnc, and the subtitles are semi-transparent when "use original colors" is checked, and they get like white-bold when uncheked.
    What could be wrong?

    thanks!

  2. well actually if you want beter subs i suggest you use VirtualDub w/ Vobsub filter its a bit harder to set everything up but its worth it check in the guides section to see how to add subs...oh DVDx can only make readable if you encode to SVCD

  5. that's what i'm doing, but in the preview window of dvdx, you can notice the poor quality of the subtitles... which would be good to do? convert to avi? which tool can do it with subtitles?

  6. convert to psuedo avi using vfapi-encode...you can then load this into vdub w/ the vobsub filter and add subs the best way..u can then frameserve to tmpgenc

most methods ARE ripping the subs from the DVD....the vobsub/vdub method is one of the best ways to add subs...u don't manually type in the subs yourself if that's wut u were thinking

  9. Hi,

In the DVDx, try uncheck the Original colors and put the Offset (pixel) = 4
