I just inserted a mini dv tape and it "half" closed (see picture), now it doesn't open anymore but also doesn't want to close. The ejecting symbol is showing on the screen of the camera, but it doesn't do anything (not even make a single sound). Before I inserted this tape, it seemed to work just fine but I have never inserted a tape in this camera before. Does anyone know a possible way to fix this? I already tried taking the AC battery out, switching the "camera" mode on to reset it, and putting the battery back in. But it didn't work.

Get another miniDV camcorder and move on they are cheap, It is not worth fixing, Besides DV is digital so there is no such better quality playback camcorder unless you actually use it to shoot videos.
