I am trying to download a video file from a site that I have access to. It's a private site and the video is stored as DASH. I have access to the MPD and init.mp4 file but I can't download the segments with youtube-dl. I can't provide a link here because you won't be able to access it without credentials. It's widevine encrypted. Can anyone tell me the steps to first download and join the segments and then decrypt using the init.mp4 file.

This is what I get with youtube-dl
    Code:
    [generic] stream: Downloading webpage
ERROR: Unable to download webpage: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden (caused by HTTPError()); please report this issue on https://yt-dl.org/bug . Make sure you are using the latest version; type youtube-dl -U to update. Be sure to call youtube-dl with the --verbose flag and include its complete output.
Youtube-dl is up to date and this is the command I use:

    Code:
    youtube-dl https://xxx/dash/stream.mpd
Any help would be useful and appreciated.

What does the site owner/manager say about this issue?

try the Firefox extension Video Download Helper
Site only accepts Chrome and Video Download Helper only detects the audio.
