  1. Hi
    I have an .avi with
    video stream: MPEG-4 Visual (XviD)
    audio stream: MPEG Audio (MP3)

I would like to add additional audio file to it. The audio I want to add is AAC LC. I can get the audio to be something else, if that's the problem.

Is this possible without reencoding the video?
If yes, what do I need?
    Thanks

  4. Although it's not standard (as in “usual”) to put Xvid video and MP3 audio in MKV container, it works well with MKVToolNix, and that way there's no need to convert the AAC audio to MP3 (which necessarily means loss of quality).

By the way, what does the scouter say ?

Not saying that's a bad solution but the AVI container does support AAC audio.
