I have some footage on my SD card captured by my Camcorder XA11 in AVCHD. I am trying to view it on my television. My tv is not recognizing it. I used a external SD card reader usb device and plugged into my TV. My tv did not recognize it. I then tried the external SD card reader in my Blu-ray player and that did not recognize it. Can someone help me with a solution if there is one. I am thinking it will not read the AVCHD format but I could totally be wrong. Not sure what the problem is.

  2. What TV model? Do you have any other device like STB of any kind?

Are the AVCHD files in folder form? That's usually what AVCHD means,if they are you need to convert to mkv or mp4 so the tv can play them.

ON the other hand, if the file is *.mts or similar, muxing to an MKV with MKVtoolnix may work

Nope, you change them to mkv with mkvtoolnix ,most newer players will play mkv so give it a try.
