    Hi Everyone,

I wonder if anybody can shed any ideas on this. I have a 2TB external hard drive which is nearly full with various files. I have some films in MKV format that I am trying to play through an external Blu Ray player to my TV.
The MKVs play fine for the first 30 minutes or so, then the picture would freeze for a few seconds and then play again. This has been happening quite a lot on various MKV files.
Sometimes the videos would freeze for nearly a minute and then resume playing.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to why this might be happening? Thanks in advance.

The hdd is too full and probably needs a good defragging, the blu-ray player can't access the files fast enough so they get cached and waits for the files which causes the freezes.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the HDD is nearly full. Maybe I should take everything off and defrag. Then maybe put 50% of the files back on it.
