Hey All,
I've ripped a DVD (The Score) with DVD Decryptor (no errors), the i tried to convert it to VCD and SVCD with FlaskMPEG using the bbMPEG plug-in, the LSX plug-in and the CinemaCraft PLug-in. but for some reason the moevie isn't smooth the movie shocks every 15 sec, or when i try another conversion it may be less. then i tried DVDx with the same MPG2 plug-ins but still not smooth.
What's the problem?
- Windows XP?
- DVD Source, IFO and VOB?
i didn't found a topic related to my problem, if there's one please point me to it (but i couldn't find one)
TIA

I've ripped and converted a lot of DVD's running WinXP so I think you can rule that out. I've had the same problem you describe earlier using the original Flask (don't know why but some DVD's come out very shaky - could be a field order thing though). Instead of Flask I've been using Xmpeg (a modified version of Flask - still under development) and since then I've never had the problem again. It might work for you too.
You can find the program here: http://www.mp3guest.com
Scroll down and click the link saying "Créez vos DivX rapidement et facilement avec XMPEG" There is an English version of the download page so don't worry if your French isn't that good
Good luck, hope it works, Jack -
Thanks Jack, I've downloaded XMPEG but how can i open a whole DVD?
i mean, how can i open the IFO file from the ripped DVD? when i click open media i cannot select an IFO file but only VOB files.
TIA

Does anybody out there has an idea how to open a whole DVD with XMPEG. Encoding one VOB at a time is not good enough. I have tried the FlaskMpeg plugin thunder.mism.flask (renamed it to thunder.mism.xmpeg) but that didn't work either.Winners never quit, quitters never win. On the downloadpage of Xmpeg (see above) you will find a link for the XMPEG DVD Mism (It's in the downloadbox for version 4.31a at the bottom). Extract the file to the directory where you've installed Xmpeg. You should now be able to open the ifo-file and choose your language/subtitles. Opening the ifo lets you open the entire movie.
It should work.

Thanx a million Jack.
