    hi

    what codec is required for vReveal that will allow me to import mp4 files into it?

    some advise to use K lite pack and some don't.....I would prefer just to install single codec though.

    that worked thanks....I had FFDShow installed that has a libavcodec in the H.264 format that I thought would work but didn't.

    vReveal is not great software.
    What are you trying to do? Better methods exist for everything it can do.
