    not sure why you need or want to change it, but on ffmpeg re-encode its

    -x264-params ref=4
    long encoding time though
    pretty sure that file should easily played by default

    reason is that i have heard, led tv has strict settings and they can not play ref 6, they can play ref 5 or below...

    i had tested, led tv can not play above 4.1, only play 4.1 or below...

    but not tested ref 6, i am downloading some content and want to play on led tv...

    sir, can you tell me how to load file and use this command ?

    i downloaded latest version of ffmpeg ,
    extracted zip/rar folder, and then rename the folder ffmpeg,
    moved all files from bin folder to ffmpeg

    i copied my video file 1.mkv in ffmpeg folder too

    then i opened cmd with administrator rights,

    then on cmd, i use these commands there

    c:
    c:\> {now i am in c drive}
    c:\> cd ffmpeg

    c:\>ffmpeg {now i am in ffmpeg folder}

    c:\>ffmpeg> ffmpeg.exe {i used this command to run ffmpeg.exe}


    cmd shows this to me

    if i am correctly using ffmpeg, please tell me with details, how to load my file, for example 1.mkv there and change reference from 6 to 4 or 5 ?
    how to use your command ?
