I found a video on YouTube explaining how to use VLC to screen record.

Included in the VLC settings was a display showing what things would be included, each with a green check mark. "Audio" was one of those things checked.

I've twice recorded, the second time selecting "original audio" from the settings.

Neither time did the resulting recording have any audio.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
