I'm going the hardware route for my VHS transfers and have used various high-end Panny and Sony decks thus far. I only master in XP mode. I'm now hearing about the LSI chipset unique to the LG models which gives them a noticeable edge over the like of Panasonic, Sony etc. Can anyone corroborate this?
