  1. I want to add a new audio item to the main movie of a chapter series, the problem I have identified is when it's time to replace the main movie pgc in vobblanker, because when I open the DVD in vobblanker this message pops up "this is quite usual in ILV/multiangle VTSs, but vobBlanker does not support them, except in skip mode" >>>> https://forum.videohelp.com/images/imgfiles/NK6hbko.jpg

from what I've read has to do with multiangle or something

Wrong DVD after pgc replaced main movie, in pgcedit

And when I'm going to activate the new items in pgcedit after replacing the main movie pgc in vobblanker the structure got a mess, instead of having the chapters each 20 minutes, some joined together were split in 1 hour, the other 40 minutes ....

And when I play the dvd, when I hit a chapter it doesn't go to the movie, it gets locked in the menu screen .....

    Before replacing normal >>>> https://forum.videohelp.com/images/imgfiles/Plyifnl.jpg

After replacing with vobblanker got a dick >>>> https://forum.videohelp.com/images/imgfiles/Q8Fuvvs.jpg

And when I open the dvd in pgcedit without replacing vobblanker these messages appear

You'll have to remove the extra angle(s) first.

Or, if you actually made a DVD with the added audio that works, don't try to replace it into the original DVD but maybe create your own menu for it.

I don't want to create menu for him

Is that all you have to do to pass the dvd through vobblanker and not mess up the dvd or have a problem playing?

How do I remove the extra angle ??? where is he ??? what do you mean extra angle ???

You're the one that mentioned, "this is quite usual in ILV/multiangle VTSs" from VobBlanker.

There are a number of reasons why you might have ILV/multiangles in a DVD. For example, one reason might be if the theatrical release and director's cut are on the same DVD. The director's or extended cut might have extra scenes not seen in the theatrical version.

Or, signs might be in different languages, depending on the version you choose. So, there will 4 or 5 different sets of signs (different angles), depending on if English, German, French, Italian, etc versions are chosen. Lots more reasons.

The upshot is you won't be adding any extra audio unless you get only a single angle and add it to that. But once you do that, the menus will no longer work properly unless you know how to fix them which can be difficult if you've never done it before. That's why I suggested making a new menu. Of course, you don't really need a menu at all. Just stick your new-and-improved version in the DVD player and it'll start playing automatically. If there's more than one audio, you can choose the one you want with the remote control.

How to remove angles? Do you have the whole DVD on the hard drive already? Then open the IFO for the movie in PGCDemux and if there are multiple angles, choose one, demux the audio, video, subs, celltimes.txt. Then reauthor them together with your new audio using Muxman.

Adding audio isn't just a question of adding audio. There has to be space. DVDs are limited as to the maximum bitrates. Adding audio without removing one might put you over the limit.

  5. I never had this problem, and if it is appearing in this, I will try to solve...... the dvd I'm talking about has no extras, no two director's version, it's just a seemingly simple dvd of a 7 chapter show

instead of muxman i use ifoedit for reauthor, i take the files where it contains the normal movie pgc in pgcdemux, but i still have problem when it comes to vobblanker, and i don't even want to create new menu

  6. Then try doing the replace using PGCEdit. Open the DVD, highlight the movie and then go File->Replace VSTS Title. Something like that. I'm not on that computer at the moment.

And Muxman is a way way better authoring program than is IFOEdit.

  7. First, should the vobblanker process be done even with the "errors" before doing this step in pgcedit?

1.2 - most important question now, afterwards, do i open in pgcedit to replace the original dvd without the new iten, or the dvd author with the new iten in the main movie pgc????

2 - my main movie containing the new iten is vts_3 should i open vts_ifo_3 of the same vts to replace?

3 - considering what I already know answers 1.2 and 2...... could not do it but tried and these messages appeared:

https://forum.videohelp.com/images/imgfiles/RnRjpTf.jpg >>> what to select here?
    https://forum.videohelp.com/images/imgfiles/VMxkg1p.jpg >>> and here?

  9. I just checked the pictures from the first post and the PGCEdit method only works when there's only a single title in the VTS. Again, you'll have to get rid of all the other angles if you want to use the original DVD menus. And then you'll have to 'fix' the menus. Either keep the DVD you have now with the new audio or create new menus for it. You can even extract and use the menu backgrounds you have now. I apologize for not looking at those pictures earlier.

What you're trying to do is difficult even for experienced people. You could try and contact the author of PGCEdit. He comes here sometimes but your best bet is the PGCEdit thread at Doom9:
