I've been using my Dune 303d player for the last week. It can 'zoom' 'gutter-boxed' movies to fill the tv screen. My old Olevia TV cant. I keep the g-boxed films on a seperate hdd. (Watched "Outland" with Sean Connery last night, from 1981!) Anyways, Dune has (IMHO) poor support. The player, now, no matter what, always starts films either within the first 10 minutes (sometimes at ch #2) or in the last 5 (or less) minutes. Mostly the last few minutes. Theres a 'bookmark' setting, but it has no effect on this issue. I think theres a key-stroke (or key-stroke combo) that forces it to start at the beginning of the film. Its a pita to have to click the chapters backwards to get to the beginning, for instance, Outland has 33 chapters & started in ch 32.
Anybody have/use this player?
Can you help me?
(I love that old Olevia & wont replace it till it dies!)

Never thought of that.
I have the last firmware upgrade Dune issued. (installed)
Dont know if it would 'upgrade' as it would be the same already.Last edited by cornemuse; 3rd Aug 2019 at 11:19. Reason: feng shui

a factory reset shouldn't have any effect on the firmware since it's baked in.

I meant re-installing the final firmware.
