  1. Is there any reason to have a 4K HEVC encode in 10-Bit whilst using a REC.709 colorspace?
    - I was under the impression you needed REC.2020 to get 10-bit HDR

  2. Not all 4K video is HDR. So yes, there are times when you want to use 10 bit rec.709.

    Decent broadcast/studio equipment use 10 bit (8.2) format since ITU-R BT.601/BT.656 (almost 40 years!)
