Hello All
Newbie here. Just bought a Pioneer BD-RE drive and I am currently using it to create blu rays of TV programs that I have recorded and TV series that I have been given as 720p MKV files with a nice menu etc.
When I open MultiAVCHD and create a blu ray with the off air TV shows (Peaky Blinders - BBC4 HD 1080p) it works fine. No problem there. I also converted Beatles Anthology DVD's to blu ray for my dad as 1 disk is better than 6. Also worked fine.
The problem I have at the moment is when I tried to create a blu ray from a 720p h264 mkv file. When I load the file in multiAVCHD it shows as red. Having looked on the web people are saying I need to transcode the file. I have tried this and the file turns green. MultiAVCHD goes through the motions and when it has finished it says there are no compatible files/folders processed and the AVCHD folder doesn't contain any files/folders. There is however a FFINDEX file in the same folder as my source folder.
The BBC off air recordings work fine and having checked the codecs etc in MKVToolNix the video codec is H264 in both the BBC recording and the 720p h264 mkv. Both are mkv files.
Also all H264 files that have been encoded by both handbrake and Vidcoder throw up the same error. I just did a check on this to see if re encoding would solve the problem. It didn't!
This is the script I get detailing the error:
