    Hi,

Is there any player which will take screenshot in the exact size of the video always?

Also I wonder if there is a media player or a tool in it which will shows a screenshot resolution as it take one?

    Thanks

  3. What do you mean by exact size of the video? The encoded frame size? Or after correcting for DAR/SAR flags? For example, an NTSC 16:9 DVD is encoded at 720x480 but should be resized to a 16:9 frames size at playback. A player might use 854x480 (keeping the frame height) or 720x404 (keeping the frame width).

Thank you all for responding. I've had trouble a few times where the screenshots (png) taken with a media player like MPC-HC and VLC have a different resolution than that of the video itself. It doesn't happen all the time but it does sometimes with some videos. So I'm wondering if there is a tool or player who will create the snapshot with the exact resolution and will show on the screen as it creates them.

    Thanks

  6. Many users already gave an answer on how to do it with different tools.
The way I do it on Windows or Linux, press ALT+Print Screen to save the active window in memory on Windows and use Paint.NET or Gimp to crop it and save it as whatever format I want.
