Got a P4 1.7 w/60 g HD for capturing
ATW (ATI Wonder TV VE card)
MMC 7.1
Virtual Dub (sound stops on capture)
After messing around a bit, I realized that ??x240 was never going to give me a good VCD picture. So...
Been trying to figure out a few things:
1. How do you capture at 480X480? What software gives that option? I understand that MMC 7.5/7.6 does with a registry mod, but ATI does not support these versions for the ATW (for whatever reason).
2. Is version 7.5 with a mod necessary before MMC 7.6 can be used? I am very reluctant to load any more ATI software on my machine without a clue. MMC 7.6 is intended for the AIW (All in Wonder) cards, per ATI.
3. Is there third party software that will capture with an ATW card at 480x480 without a hack? Not that a hack bothers me, but just to know.
4. Lastly, is there a hack (i.e. registry edit) that allows 480X480 with MMC7.1?
Now onto bizarre territory.... the sound stops when I leave capture mode/try to capture in VirtualDub. I am using the vfwwdm32.dll wrapper. Is this an ATW(w/win2k)/VirtualDub issue or my machine?
Thanks!
