I am trying to set up a batch encode of .mov files...and seem I have to set everything over and over again for each file..instead of TMPG holding my settings. What do I need to do so that I simply click click click and BINGO..it just encodes?

While I am at it...I can not seem to set the size..frame rate, etc. I am making SVCD NTSC 16X9.

    Thanks in advance

  2. Create your own template with the desired settings. To do this, after setting everything up just click the save button next to the load and settings buttons on the bottom right. Then, each time you select a new input file, just load your personal template and all your settings will be made.

Does that mean..when doing a batch encode ..with each file I have to go and click on my template..or will the setting stay consistant throughout the selection?

  4. Once you have saved your template, load your 1st source avi file (and audio file if they are seperate). Then, on the buttons on the bottom right of TmpGenc, click load and select your template. You now have all your settings. Then click file->save project. Repeat this for each avi, creating a new project file each time. Once this is completed select file->Batch Encode. This opens a new dialog box. Click add and then select your 1st project file Repeat this process, adding each project in turn. (actually you can select them all at once, when the file open dialog opens in this step, hold down shift, select the 1st and last project file and all intervening files will become highlighted, then just click open). Once all your projects are listed then just hit run and Tmpgenc will process them in order.

This may not be quite as quick as you had hoped but I think it is the best TmpGenc has to offer in this area. Let me know how you get on.
