I've been using this camcorder, off and on, for about 10 years now. I once got the top handle wet by shooting in the rain and had to send it back to Canon for repairs. It seemed to be OK after it came back but I've been having problems lately. For example, I was shooting at a concert last week and, after downloading the footage to my computer for editing, I noticed that the sound was fine for the first half of one song but suddenly, halfway through, it went seriously distorted and remained so for the rest of the shoot. I also notice that the sound cuts out every once in a while I think it's the XLR socket in the handle because, when I wiggle the XLR plug, that's when it seems to do the cutting out. Has anyone had experience with their XA 10 like this and, if so, what was the outcome for you? Many thanks!
