Latest version of StaxRip has a standalone audio converter? What are you trying to convert it to?
If you're doing something else not obvious from the log, elaborate a little.
I'm still stuck on 1.2.2.0 as I'm not yet ready to migrate to Vaporsynth and I don't want to disturb my
"legacy" setup -
Hi. Actually what I'm converting is an .avi file in another .mkv file But, with the audio in .mp3 format
I can attach the complete conversion log. In this way, the entire file will be available to review and guide me towards a possible solution.
Then, I'll publish it. Since now I do not have it available.
As always, I leave a big greeting.
Thank you. -
Hi. I have attached the complete .log file so you can see it and tell me if the problem is with the new application or something else.
Thank you.
Best regards. -
Are you trying to convert the audio to mp3?
Can you explain what you're doing - the audio is mp3 to begin with.
In the log you can see:
Code:"D:\x64\Multimedia Tools\Converters\StaxRip 2.0.1.0\Apps\Encoders\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe" -i "F:\Brother Cadfael (Fray Cadfael) S01-S04 [1994-1998]\Cadfael\Cadfael - s01e01 - One Corpse Too Many_temp\Cadfael - s01e01 - One Corpse Too Many ID1 English.mp3" -c:a libmp3lame -q:a 4 -af volume=0.6dB -y -hide_banner "F:\Brother Cadfael (Fray Cadfael) S01-S04 [1994-1998]\Cadfael\Cadfael - s01e01 - One Corpse Too Many_temp\Cadfael - s01e01 - One Corpse Too Many ID1 English_a2.mp3" Input #0, mp3, from 'F:\Brother Cadfael (Fray Cadfael) S01-S04 [1994-1998]\Cadfael\Cadfael - s01e01 - One Corpse Too Many_temp\Cadfael - s01e01 - One Corpse Too Many ID1 English.mp3': Metadata: IAS1 : English encoder : Lavf58.27.103 Duration: 01:15:36.53, start: 0.011021, bitrate: 130 kb/s Stream #0:0: Audio: mp3, 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 130 kb/s Metadata: encoder : Lavf Unknown encoder 'libmp3lame'

But the audio is already in mp3, why convert again? Why not just do remux for mkv?
-
Yes use the "edit" button and set it to copy/mux to keep/use the original audio
-
For me too, there is not the mp3 encoder.
Although I will try, too, cutting the path and the name of the file.
Thank you very much for your answers and suggestions.
Best regards. -
Yes, the text in your log tells you that the version of ffmpeg used was not compiled with mp3 encoder, see the changelog of the latest test version and now it has this encoder:
2.0.1.3
new: again new experimental icon, please give feedback if you like it,
if it's not liked then it will be reverted to the classic icon, the problem
with the classic icon is it looks outdated because it's not flat. The icon
of the previous built was looking good but it was not dark mode compatible
new: added ConvertFromDoubleWidth to AviSynth profiles, it's useful to fix the
double width output that l-smash outputs for 10 (or more) bit sources.
The profiles were not reset so the changes are only available
after reseting the profiles manually
new: in the x265 dialog it's possible to select the preferred piping tool,
use at your own risk, not all combinations will work. In theory the included
x265 built don't need a piping tool but I could not make it work without
a piping tool. Options are: Automatic, None, vspipe, avs2pipemod, ffmpeg
update: ffmpeg, unlike the built before this one supports mp3 encoding
update: x264, x265
update: d2v vs filter plugin
