Hey there,
So I only started using Sony Vegas a couple days ago and I just rendered my video and two of the clips (the third and fourth ones) keeps getting rendered with this weird distortion effect that isn't present in the preview mode. None of the other clips seem to have this problem, and there are clips both before and after these particular two that have the weird distortion effect. I've attached a picture to show you what I mean. Please help! Thanks.

Things to try.
1. Make sure Vegas preview is set to "Best - Full". This will make sure the problem truly is happening during render. Any lesser resolution sometimes masks problems.
2. What format and template are you using for rendering? Are you using the same resolution for the render as you have for the original video?
This has the feel of some sort of resolution change. -

The resolution is shown in the media properties dialog. Also, you can use the "match properties" feature, which will set your project to the same resolution as the video. As a third way, you can use the Mediainfo utility. Actually, most modern versions of Windows will show this in Explorer, if you enable that column.
1913x1035 is most definitely NOT a normal video resolution. Something has already been done to that video. -
That kind of distortion is typical of a video with an odd-numbered dimension.
Try setting your timeline to something like 1920x1036 and see how it comes out. -

It also happens with mod2 frame sizes at times. Never use less than mod4.

[QUOTE=Ark_i5;2550498] I don't think you understood my reply. You were the one who asked how to determine the resolution of your original video. I responded with three different ways you could do this, one of which was to use the match properties feature. I did NOT say this would help your problem in any way. The match properties has nothing to do with how the video is rendered, which appears to be where your problem happens.
So, having now explained that, once again, what resolution is your original video?? You should try to match the resolution in the Render As dialog to that resolution. The various templates which match your video resolution will have an "=" next to them.
