Hello all,
I've authored a Blu-Ray which is refused by Eclipse in the replication plant. Their diagnostic tool says my total bitrate exceeds 56 Mb/s (48 Mb/s is the max.). However after checking all my bitrates, I'm much lower and inside what the standard allows. Please check the different captures and report from BDinfo and Eclipse.
Any help appreciated.

While it is not out of the realm of possibility for your freeware consumer app to be more accurate than the industry standard verification app (though that sounds awkward even saying that), it ultimately doesn't matter what BDInfo says, as you can't get your BD pressed without it first passing verification.
However, I do note that while bdinfo gives you max down to the level of 1 second, it doesn't get more granular. It could very well be that you have an instantaneous (1 frame) max that exceeds the limit, but frames around it when averaged to the second show a much lower average. In other words, you have a SPIKE.
Which encoder and/or muxer did you use? Were you using true 2pass vbr with integrated BD vbv constraints, or were you using something like 1 pass, crf, etc? That could easily account for the difference.
Regardless, you will have to re-encode. I suggest you do only the segment in question (unless you truly didn't use proper 2pass, in which case it would be better to redo the whole thing properly).
[Spoken from someone who has had to deal with mastering verification before.]

Thank you.
In the meantime, I’ve just found the solution. Actually, after compiling the Blu-Ray in DVD-architect, I remux an audio track with a DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 stream using MultiAVCHD/TSMuxer (cause DVD-Architect only supports the old Dolby Digital 5.1). I’ve read on Doom9 forum that TSmuxer is always refused by Eclipse.
No more bitrate alert anymore. There was no peak above 48 Mbit/s. It was just a muxing problem. -
3 things:
I did ask you what muxer you were using, because, as you found out, it does bear on the issue.
I could have told you that muxman wasn't compliant enough. It was reverse engineered, and while its dvd capabilities and compatibilities are nearly complete, its bd portion has a way to go.
Monitor your bitrate still. Lossless audio streams such as TrueHD, DTS-MA, also have been known to spike their instantaneous bitrates, and what happens if the audio and the video spikes coincide? A better muxer can smooth that out somewhat, but not completely.

It's fine via Eclipse?
Note: TSMuxer is better, but is still reverse-engineered AFAIK (unless the author went and bought the actual specs and didn't tell us, which I doubt). Use at your own risk. For burned discs, its not a big deal, but once you go factory-pressed discs, it is best to play by their rules.
